The Adlam script is a newly developed writing system specifically designed for the Fulani language. Its name, Adlam, is an acronym derived from the initial four letters of the alphabet. Each letter represents the imperative motto "Alkule Dandayɗe Leñol Mulugol," which translates to "the alphabet that safeguards cultures from extinction."
